Four new Bosch cordless drill/drivers for home and garden

Extension of the ‘18V Power for All System‘

The right tool for every application

  • New in the entry-level segment: EasyDrill 18V-40 and EasyImpact 18V-40
  • Powerful and durable: UniversalDrill 18V-60 and UniversalImpact 18V-60
  • One battery for many applications: Save space, save money, protect the environment

Reliable partners when screwdriving and drilling ‒ Bosch is extending the ‘18V Power for All System‘ with four new cordless drill/drivers: The EasyDrill 18V-40 and the EasyImpact 18V-40, the first drill/drivers in the entry-level segment, as well as the powerful all-rounders UniversalDrill 18V-60 and UniversalImpact 18V-60. Bosch will therefore offer a complete range of 18V drill/drivers in the three application categories Easy, Universal and Advanced. DIYers can thus precisely select the drill/driver which matches their requirements. The ’18V Power for All System’ covers all representative tools in each segment and currently comprises around 40 DIY, garden, and home appliances – and even extends beyond the Bosch range with additional partners in the cross-brand ‘POWER FOR ALL ALLIANCE’. All tools – from rotary hammer to lawn mower and even vacuum cleaner – can be operated with the same 18V lithium-ion battery and only one charger. This saves DIYers space and money and protects the environment.

New in the entry-level segment: EasyDrill 18V-40 and EasyImpact 18V-40

The EasyDrill 18V-40 and EasyImpact 18V-40 are reliable tools for beginners and DIYers who occasionally perform screwdriving and drilling tasks. The Drill model is suitable for processing wood, metal, tiles, and plastic while the Impact model also features an impact function and drills in masonry. The maximum screw diameters are 8 mm while the maximum drilling diameters are 13 mm in steel or masonry and 30 mm in wood. The drills and screwdriver bits can be changed quickly and easily thanks to 13-mm keyless chucks. Typical applications include simple assembly work such as putting together small items of furniture or hanging shelves, curtain rails or trellises for flowers, either on a balcony or in a garden. Both cordless drill/drivers are shorter and therefore more compact than current competitor models and fit well in the hand thanks to a low weight and a soft grip. They each offer 20 torque settings and a two-speed gearbox which always provides maximum performance and speed for every application. The workpiece is also illuminated by a LED light, which ensures good visibility even during unfavorable light conditions.

Powerful and durable: UniversalDrill 18V-60 and UniversalImpact 18V-60

The UniversalDrill 18V-60 and UniversalImpact 18V-60 are compact and robust all-rounders for a wide range of different tasks. Whether screwdriving or drilling in wood, metal, tiles, or plastic, and in masonry with the Impact model: They offer a maximum torque of 60 Nm and, for the first time, both a metal drill chuck and a brushless motor which makes the tools especially durable and maintenance-free. In addition, this cordless drill and impact drill are faster and more powerful than other models. The basis for this is an optimum coordination of key components such as the motor and gearbox combined with an intelligent electronic control system called the ‘Syneon Technology’. Only Bosch offers this interaction between motor electronics and battery. As a result, the cordless drill/drivers always deliver the optimum power and maximum endurance for each project. They also retain their full power until the battery is empty. DIYers can therefore drill and screwdrive powerfully right up to the end. Thanks to a three-step display on the tool, they can always see the current charge level of the battery. The UniversalDrill 18V-60 and UniversalImpact 18V-60 are also shorter and therefore more compact than current competitor models. In combination with their low weight, this ensures optimal handling in every project.

The EasyDrill 18V-40 and EasyImpact 18V-40 are available as of now, the UniversalDrill 18V-60 and UniversalImpact 18V-60 will be available from March 2022 onwards. All stated prices are recommended retail prices including VAT.
