Using water intelligently – clever GARDENA pump solutions for home and garden
Collecting water and using it in a targeted manner is becoming increasingly important for many garden and home owners. Modern pump systems deliver water to where it is needed and offer solutions that can be flexibly adapted to different requirements. The new GARDENA Battery Rainwater Tank Pumps, Battery Garden Pump and Home and Garden Pumps enable a convenient and needs-based water supply around the house and garden.
In times of increasing weather extremes, dry summers and rising water prices, it is important to consider how to use water wisely. Especially in residential areas there are many actions that can be taken around the home and garden. While mains water is often used to irrigate plants or clean outdoor surfaces, there’s an obvious alternative for this purpose: the use of water reserves from wells, cisterns and rainwater reservoirs. Clever solutions help to transport collected water and use it in a targeted manner – for example, for garden irrigation or for certain applications in the home like toilet flushes. Clever use of rainwater for irrigation
The GARDENA Battery Rainwater Tank Pump 2600 Comfort 18V P4A and 2400 ComfortAutomatic 18V P4A make it easier and more convenient to use collected rainwater around the garden, without carrying heavy watering cans. They pump the water as needed with reliable pressure. Whether for connecting nozzles, sprayers, small to medium-sized sprinklers or the Micro-Drip-System drip irrigation – the powerful pumps deliver a convenient pressure of up to 2.2 bar.
The models offer variable power control, which allows water pressure and flow to be individually adjusted – for a suitable ratio between required power and battery runtime up to 77 minutes with a 2.5 Ah battery.
For automatic and scheduled irrigation, you can choose from a total of eleven predefined irrigation programs or set a timer for five, ten or 15 minutes as desired. A telescopic aluminium tube is used to flexibly adjust the pump to the height of the rain barrel. Thanks to their slim design, the rainwater tank pumps fit into common tank and drum openings with a diameter starting from ten centimetres. This means that they can be easily used in rain barrels or water tanks and are immediately ready for use. An integrated dirt filter protects against contamination. The dry-running protection prevents damage to the pump by automatically shutting down the pump when water can no longer be pumped.
The cordless rainwater tank pump 2400 ComfortAutomatic 18V P4A is also equipped with an automatic function and starts and stops the water flow automatically when, for example, the trigger on the sprayer is pressed. This avoids unnecessary operation and extends the battery runtime.
The energy is supplied by the 18V system battery of the Power for All Alliance1. This fits into a wide range of other garden tools from GARDENA, but can also be used within the alliance in more than 100 products across brands for more than 100 different applications in the home and garden.
Cordless garden pump for flexible garden irrigation without power supply
The GARDENA Battery Garden Pump 3000 Silent 18V P4A enables mobile water pumping wherever there is no power connection. It is suitable for watering beds, lawns and cleaning tasks in the garden and around the house. The wireless operation ensures high flexibility and easy handling. The garden pump has a maximum flow rate of 3000 litres per hour, can handle a delivery height of up to 30 meters and sucks in water from a depth of up to eight meters. Due to the high performance, sufficient pressure and flow are available to be able to carry out all common tasks in the garden.
Because the pump is rain and UV resistant, it can remain outdoors throughout the season until the first frost and offers flexibility in the choice of location of the pump. The garden pump has an integrated dry run protection that switches it off when water cannot be pumped.

The automatic water supply in the house and garden
More and more homeowners are using their own water reserves from cisterns or wells not only for garden irrigation, but also for the domestic water supply – such as flushing toilets or washing machines. The popular and quiet garden pumps from the Silent series are now being expanded with the new GARDENA Automatic Home & Garden Pumps 4600 Silent and 5000 SilentComfort. They automatically and quietly deliver the required amount of water at the appropriate pressure; with a noise level of only 46 and 49 decibels at a distance of 5 metres. The quiet operation is particularly relevant for permanent installation in the home. The rain and UV resistant housing makes the installation easier, as the device can be placed near the water source until the first frost. In addition, the models have automatic switching on and off for autonomous use, pre-filter, dry-running protection and dripping water warning.
The Home & Garden Pump 5000 SilentComfort is equipped with a Bluetooth connection. The most important product functions can be conveniently set via the GARDENA Bluetooth App on your smartphone or tablet. Numerous additional functions, such as the step-by-step installation instructions or the planning assistant for automatic irrigation can be used with it. In combination with the soil moisture sensor, which can be easily connected to the pump, irrigation becomes even smarter. If the soil is sufficiently moist, the pump for the planned irrigation is not started. This is how clever irrigation works.
